This is the water tight door right outside the printshop.
It is
closed during rough weather, fog, or icey conditions. It
is also
closed when entering or leaving a port in shallow water
or
a channel. Every sea day we need measure how long it takes
to close to verify it is functioning properly. There are
verticle
exits out of each water tight area via stairways.
